[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, will begin accepting COVID-19 vaccination pre-reservations from the 12th for people in their 50s, exam candidates, and school staff.

According to the July vaccination plan, the vaccination targets in Sancheong include those who missed vaccination in June, general citizens in their 50s, high school seniors and high school staff, daycare centers, kindergartens, elementary and middle school staff and care personnel, and enlisted soldiers (scheduled to enlist from July to September), totaling about 7,450 people.

Pre-reservations and vaccinations will be conducted by age group: those aged 55-59 can make pre-reservations from the 12th to the 17th and receive vaccinations from the 26th until August 7th; those aged 50-54 can make pre-reservations from the 19th to the 24th and receive vaccinations from August 9th to 21st at vaccination centers and designated medical institutions.

Pre-reservations can be made by searching for the 'COVID-19 Vaccination Pre-Reservation System' on portal sites.

In August, pre-reservations will be accepted for about 3,430 people aged 40-49, and vaccinations will be carried out after August, once priority groups have completed their vaccinations.

Meanwhile, Sancheong County Health and Medical Center reported that as of June, 16,258 people (46.9% of the total population) have completed their first dose, and 6,495 people (18.7%) have completed their second dose.

An official from the county stated, “From the third quarter, vaccinations for general residents with a high proportion of economic and social activities will begin in earnest, so we are making thorough preparations for safe vaccinations. We urge vaccination targets to check the schedule in advance and receive their vaccinations without fail.”
