Mercedes-Benz Korea Launches the New Electric Compact SUV The New EQA... Live Concert Also Held

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on the 12th that it will officially launch the electric compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) The new EQA in Korea.

The new EQA is the second Mercedes-EQ pure electric vehicle released in Korea following the EQC. Benz Korea explained that the new EQA includes various advanced and convenience features suitable for urban electric vehicles.

The new EQA is launched as a single model, 'The new EQA 250,' and offers two package options: the 'AMG Package' and the 'AMG Package Plus,' which add design and convenience features.

The new EQA 250 provides a driving range of 306 km on a single full charge with a 66.5 kWh lithium-ion battery and an intelligent thermal management system. The electric motor mounted on the front axle delivers a maximum output of 140 kW and a maximum torque of 375 Nm.

In addition, it offers various safety and convenience features, including the Driving Assistant Package, an advanced driving assistance system equipped as standard for the first time in the compact segment, the Air Quality Package, a smartphone integration package, KEYLESS-GO, and wireless phone charging.

The recommended retail price of the new EQA is 59.9 million KRW (including VAT).

To commemorate the launch of the new EQA, Benz Korea will hold 'The new EQA Digital Live Concert' on Naver Shopping Live at 7 p.m. on the same day.

The live concert will feature performances by popular artists such as pH-1, Jessi, and Heize. Benz Korea also prepared various prize events along with opportunities to apply for test drives of the new EQA. During the live concert, viewers can apply for a test drive of the new EQA through the banner at the bottom of the Naver Shopping Live screen. Among the applicants, a draw will be held to give away an iPad Pro or a high-speed wireless charger.
