[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Lock&Lock announced on the 12th that it will release a limited edition collaboration set consisting of the 'Mesh Net Bag' upcycled from discarded PET bottles in partnership with eco-friendly fashion company PLEATS MAMA and the premium heat-resistant glass container 'Top Class.'


This special exhibition is held under the theme 'The Courage to Protect the Earth.' It conveys a double meaning message combining reusable containers (容器) and the mindset of caring for the environment as courage (勇氣). Previously, Lock&Lock and PLEATS MAMA received great response from their collaboration last December, and this time they are newly launching 500 limited products.


Lock&Lock Top Class is a premium heat-resistant glass container that can be used from -20℃ to high temperatures up to 400℃. It enhances safety by applying Tritan, an eco-friendly new material free from bisphenol A (BPA), a suspected endocrine disruptor, to the lid. The limited edition consists of 9 types including small capacity (300ml 3 pieces, 380ml 2 pieces), medium capacity (630ml 3 pieces), and large capacity (1,600ml 1 piece).


PLEATS MAMA's Mesh Net Bag is an upcycled bag made one by one by recycling 12 discarded PET bottles collected from Jeju. It is made of breathable mesh material.


The special exhibition is exclusively held on Naver Smart Store. A special event offering a 46% discount during the pre-order period and a gift of Lock&Lock Steam Air Fryer has also been prepared.


Kwon Pilhee, team leader of Lock&Lock Product Strategy Team, said, “As interest in eco-friendly consumption continues to increase, the demand for environmentally conscious products is also rising. Since the collaboration with PLEATS MAMA is presented as a limited edition, it will be a great opportunity to practice value-based consumption unique to oneself.”
