[Asia Economy Golf Specialist Reporter Kim Hyun-jun] "A strong finish with 7 under par."

42-year-old Lucas Glover (USA) claimed the top spot on the PGA Tour after a full 10 years. On the 12th (Korean time), at the final day of the John Deere Classic (total prize money $6.2 million) held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois (par 71, 7,268 yards), he surged with a 7-under-par round to secure a come-from-behind victory by 2 strokes (19 under par, 265 strokes). It is notable that he had been winless for 10 years and 2 months since the Wells Fargo Championship in May 2011. This marks his 4th career win, with a winner's prize of $1,116,000 (12.78 billion KRW).

Glover first made headlines by winning the US Open in June 2009. After advancing through local qualifiers, he attracted even more spotlight. He lost his PGA Tour card due to poor performance in 2018 but barely regained it through the Web.com Tour Finals. This year, he faced a tough path, missing the cut 8 times in 24 tournaments. However, on this day, he made a spectacular comeback by recording 8 birdies and just 1 bogey. His late surge was especially impressive with four consecutive birdies from holes 12 to 15 and another birdie on the 17th hole (par 5).

Ryan Moore (USA) finished tied for 2nd place (17 under par, 267 strokes), while Sebastian Mu?oz (Colombia), who started as the leader, remained even par and settled for a tie for 4th place (16 under par, 268 strokes). Luke List (USA) joined this group. Im Sung-jae (23, CJ Logistics) struggled with 1 over par and dropped to a tie for 47th place (8 under par, 276 strokes). He made 3 birdies and 1 bogey, but suffered a critical triple bogey on the 11th hole (par 4) after struggling in the rough.
