"Customized Benefits with a Single Switch" KT Online Channel Revamped


[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] KT announced on the 7th that it has completed the renovation of its official online mall KT Shop (shop.kt.com), including its online channels such as the My KT app and KT.com. KT's online channels are used by an average of 13.5 million customers monthly.


The newly introduced My KT app features an intuitive three-tier interface of My, Home, and Benefits, allowing users to easily and conveniently navigate anywhere within the app with a single switch.


By touching ‘My’ on the switch bar at the bottom of the home screen, users can check detailed and intuitive information related to their own telecommunication service usage, including family bundle information. By touching ‘Benefits,’ users can instantly view personalized benefits tailored to them based on customer data such as age, membership status, and service subscription details.


Additionally, the My KT app integrates functions from major KT apps like KT Membership and Y Box, enabling users to book membership movie tickets or gift Y Box data without launching separate apps. Users can also conveniently pay service fees by simply scanning a QR code. A new ‘Fault Diagnosis Giga Care’ menu has been added, allowing users to diagnose the status of internet, IPTV, or internet phone services and take necessary actions immediately based on the results.


KT’s official online shopping mall, KT Shop, has significantly improved the mobile phone ordering process. The previously complex authentication and input steps required for phone orders have been simplified, reducing order time by approximately 40%. Furthermore, the lowest price is automatically set to ensure customers purchase phones under the most favorable conditions. During the ordering process, users can easily compare and check all available discounts, monthly payment amounts, and device specifications at a glance.


To celebrate the KT Shop renewal, KT is also running various events with abundant prizes. Customers who purchase a phone from KT Shop by July 29 will be entered into a draw to win interior support funds worth approximately 3 million KRW, a Samsung BESPOKE refrigerator, an LG Objet Styler, and more. Additionally, the first 7,000 customers who visit KT Shop and correctly answer three quiz questions will receive a Starbucks Americano. Customers who experience the new KT Shop and share it on social media with a specific hashtag will be given an Aurora desk stand as a prize.
