[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Soyoung] Jeong Cheong-rae, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, who advocated for the abolition of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the Ministry of Unification, saying, "Following your dad's friend will lead to total failure."
On the 11th, Jeong posted on his Facebook, "Lee Jun-seok, the son of Yoo Seung-min, your dad's friend, who jumped on Yoo Seung-min's Ministry of Gender Equality and Family abolition theory, and when things got tangled, stubbornly insisted on abolishing the Ministry of Unification as well," sharply criticizing him.
He said, "Lee Jun-seok, who has become a complete mess as a 'frequent abolitionist.' It seems even your dad and your dad's friend can't handle you now," and questioned, "According to the logic of abolishing the Ministry of Unification, if there is no war, then what is the need for the Ministry of National Defense? Should the Ministry of National Defense, which wastes taxpayers' money, be abolished as well?"
He continued, "The flower that blooms early withers early. An eternal truth," and urged, "Lee Jun-seok, exercise self-restraint and self-love. And apologize for your anti-constitutional and anti-unification reckless behavior."
Earlier on the 11th, Jeong also harshly criticized Lee. He raised his voice, saying, "Is Lee Jun-seok, a Park Geun-hye kid, trying to follow Park Geun-hye's way? After advocating for the abolition of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, now he is pushing for the abolition of the Ministry of Unification."
He added, "If everything is abolished like this, who will raise the cattle?" and pointed out, "According to this kind of logic from the leader, shouldn't the impeached Park Geun-hye government have been abolished long ago, and shouldn't the Lee Myung-bak government, which went to prison for corruption, have been dismantled?"
He then said, "Abolish the People Power Party that gave birth to the Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye governments as well. In my view, the leader is tiring the people with unnecessary ignorant remarks, so resign as the leader of the People Power Party immediately," strongly opposing him.
He also advised, "Thanks for playing the X-man role, but if you don't know, stay quiet," and added, "Then you can find a middle ground."
