Geumcheon-gu Supports Clothing Manufacturers with Masks and Other Quarantine Supplies

Support of Masks, Portable Thermometers, and Hand Sanitizers Worth 80 Million KRW to Clothing Manufacturers... Distributed from July 12 through Seoul Apparel Association and Geumcheon Fashion Association

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is providing quarantine supplies to local clothing manufacturers struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

On July 9, the district delivered quarantine masks, portable thermometers, and hand sanitizers worth approximately 80 million KRW to the Seoul Clothing Association and the Geumcheon Fashion Association. These supplies will be distributed to local clothing companies through the associations.

There are about 800 clothing manufacturing companies located in Geumcheon-gu, and starting from July 12, each company can visit the associations to receive quarantine supplies worth 100,000 KRW.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, "During this difficult time for the local economy due to COVID-19, we could not overlook support for clothing manufacturers. We will do our best to provide support through various methods in the future."
