According to U.S. media on the 10th (local time), 99.7% of new COVID-19 cases in the United States are reported to be among unvaccinated people.

More than half of the new cases, 52%, were infected with the highly transmissible Delta variant.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than half of Americans, 55%, have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Recent research also aligns with this trend. According to a paper published recently in the medical journal Nature by the Pasteur Institute in France, completing two doses of vaccines such as Pfizer and AstraZeneca shows 95% effectiveness against variant viruses.

The U.S. government continues to emphasize the importance of vaccination to prevent the spread of variants, but the pace has not reached the target level.
