Gwangjin-gu, Temporary Road Occupancy Permit Application Online Service

From This Month, Resolving Citizen Inconvenience Through Non-Face-to-Face Applications for COVID-19 Prevention and Procedure Simplification

Gwangjin-gu, Temporary Road Occupancy Permit Application Online Service

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) will implement an online service alongside the existing visit-only application process for temporary road occupancy permits starting in July.

This initiative was established to alleviate the inconvenience residents faced by having to visit the district office at least twice to obtain a temporary road occupancy permit and to strengthen non-face-to-face services amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

Online applications can be made by downloading the form from the district office website (Information by Category → Traffic/Parking/Road → Road → Temporary Road Occupancy Permit Guide), filling it out, and then emailing it along with a site photo or design drawing showing the location and occupied area to dptlsp@gwangjin.go.kr.

The fee is 1,000 KRW per case and should be deposited into the dedicated account of the Gwangjin-gu Office Street Landscape Division.

After receiving the online application, the district office will conduct an on-site visit and review before making a permit decision and issuing the permit certificate, which will be sent to the applicant via email or fax.

For more details, please visit the Gwangjin-gu Office website or contact the Street Landscape Division.

Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, stated, “Through the online service for processing temporary road occupancy permits, we will take the lead in alleviating the inconvenience of visitors and easing the concerns of residents amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.”
