Paratech Develops Early Fire Suppression Sprinkler... Secures High-Flow Product Lineup

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Paratech, the nation's No. 1 fire protection specialist company (CEO Jung Kwangwon), announced on the 8th that it has developed an Early Suppression Fast Response (ESFR) sprinkler for early fire suppression.

Paratech reported that inquiries for its high-capacity sprinklers K115 and K160, which are immediately deployable, have surged recently due to the increased attention on logistics center fires, and accordingly, sales are expected to rise.

After the fire at Coupang Deokpyeong Logistics Center, fire experts unanimously agree that conventional sprinkler systems are insufficient to prevent the spread of fire in warehouses densely stocked with highly flammable goods.

In the United States, high-capacity sprinkler systems have been installed in logistics warehouses, and currently, most warehouses are equipped with early fire suppression sprinkler systems.

The ESFR sprinkler developed by Paratech this time delivers a greater water discharge volume and larger water droplets compared to the standard sprinkler (K80) system.

A Paratech official explained, "With the newly developed ESFR sprinkler and the already marketed K115 and K160 sprinklers, we now have the most extensive range of high-capacity sprinkler products in Korea."

Meanwhile, Paratech established the largest sprinkler testing facility in Korea at its Seosan plant last September, stating that "it is the only facility in the country capable of conducting performance tests on early suppression fast response sprinklers."

In addition to the completed ESFR sprinkler, Paratech is also developing products with even greater water discharge capacity.
