[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] A green light has been turned on for the passage of the $1.2 trillion infrastructure investment bill agreed upon by bipartisan U.S. senators and President Joe Biden. It is expected that the bill could be processed by Congress within this month, ahead of the August recess.

According to U.S. media including CBC on the 6th (local time), the 'Problem Solver Caucus,' composed of moderate House members, announced in a statement that they support the infrastructure investment plan previously agreed upon by bipartisan senators and President Biden. This group includes 29 Democratic and 29 Republican members.

The group also stated, "We hope for a swift and independent vote in the House," highly praising the negotiation efforts of bipartisan senators and the Biden administration.

Their support, announced immediately after the Independence Day holiday, is evaluated to have increased the likelihood that the infrastructure investment bill will pass through Congress with bipartisan agreement, without the Democrats invoking the budget reconciliation process.

Conservative-leaning Fox News also reported that support for the bill in the Senate has exceeded 75%. This suggests that the budget can be passed without the Democrats unilaterally using the budget reconciliation process.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has previously announced that the Senate will proceed with the bipartisan infrastructure bill within this month.

Kim Dong-seok, a U.S. Congress expert and representative of the Korean American Voters Association, predicted, "It seems likely that the budget will be passed by agreement in Congress ahead of the summer recess."
