[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Seocho District Council (Chairperson Kim Ansook) held a ceremony on the 6th to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of the opening of the 8th Seocho District Council.
The 8th Seocho District Council began its first half on July 6, 2018, under the banner of "A Just Council Empowering Residents," and continued into a vigorous second half starting July 6, 2020, aimed at realizing "an Open Council where residents are happy through communication and harmony."
The ceremony, held with a minimal number of attendees due to the increasing trend of COVID-19 cases, proceeded with Chairperson Kim Ansook's greeting, Vice Chairperson Choi Jongbae's congratulatory speech, and a rice cake cutting, concluding with a commemorative photo session.
In her greeting, Chairperson Kim Ansook said, "I would like to express my gratitude to the residents who have always sent warm support and encouragement, and to my fellow council members who have quietly carried out their legislative activities in their respective positions despite the restrictions caused by COVID-19. Just as no matter how big a tree is, it cannot form a forest alone, the Seocho District Council will devote all its efforts over the coming year to stabilize people's livelihoods and revive the local economy, never forgetting the spirit of harmony."
