[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) local self-sufficiency enterprise ‘Annyeong Chaya’ (CEO Kang Kyung-ja) signed a contract last month with a Kakao Mobility partner company to provide car wash call services through a mobile platform.
Located in Eunpyeong-gu, ‘Annyeong Chaya’ started in 2017 as a self-sufficiency work project group supporting the independence and self-reliance of low-income residents. It was established as a visiting car wash specialized self-sufficiency enterprise in January last year. With its clean visiting car wash service like your own car and friendly customer service, it has gained a good reputation among users and currently provides regular visiting car wash services to eight police stations and district units of public institutions in Seoul.
Through the contract with the Kakao Mobility partner company, the self-sufficiency enterprise ‘Annyeong Chaya’ has solidified its position as a professional company providing car wash call services. It also plans to hire new low-income employees in the second half of this year, raising expectations for job creation in the local community.
Choi Min-jun, director of the Seoul Eunpyeong Regional Self-Sufficiency Center supporting the startup and growth of self-sufficiency enterprises, said, “It takes tremendous effort and will for people facing difficulties in life to participate in self-sufficiency work projects, start a business, and become self-reliant. The CEO and employees of Annyeong Chaya have set a precedent,” adding, “We will continue to support low-income residents of Eunpyeong-gu who want to work through self-sufficiency enterprise support in every possible way.”
Kang Kyung-ja, CEO of the self-sufficiency enterprise ‘Annyeong Chaya,’ said, “There were difficulties due to COVID-19, but things are gradually improving with the help of the district office, the local self-sufficiency center, and many others,” and added, “We will continue to strive to become a larger company through active marketing, promotion, and improvement of service quality.”
