Barogo to Open Kitchen Platform 'Dosijubang' in Gangnam Soon

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Barogo is opening a 200-pyeong kitchen platform called 'Dosijubang' in Gangnam, Seoul. Barogo (CEO Lee Taekwon) announced on the 5th that it will offer a tour program for prospective store owners ahead of the opening of Dosijubang Yeoksam branch.

Dosijubang Yeoksam branch is the second kitchen platform following the first Dosijubang Mapo branch, which opened in October last year. It will open in the underground space of WeWork Yeoksam branch in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in August this year. Barogo plans to expand the business up to the 4th branch starting with the opening of Dosijubang Yeoksam branch this year.

Dosijubang is a kitchen platform that aims to operate as a service business beyond the existing shared kitchens operated in the form of 'rental business.' Barogo directly transfers its unique delivery know-how to tenant stores and supports various consulting services to ensure that this know-how directly translates into store sales.

Dosijubang Yeoksam branch has a total area of 661㎡ (approximately 200 pyeong). It is composed of an open kitchen, closed kitchen, multipurpose kitchen, dining hall, private rooms, and pickup/front spaces to enhance operational efficiency.

Barogo will offer a tour program throughout July ahead of the opening of Dosijubang Yeoksam branch. The tour will be conducted for about 2 hours at the Mapo branch and consists of ▲ introduction to Dosijubang ▲ delivery trends and app strategy introduction ▲ explanation of the packaging container market.

A Barogo official said, "Currently, many self-employed people close their stores within a year or shut down their existing stores and move on to other work," adding, "Barogo operates Dosijubang to help these self-employed individuals."
