Cheollipo Arboretum and Haemieupseong Fortress Selected for 'Chungnam Tourism 100'

[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Cheollipo Arboretum and Haemi Fortress Village have been selected among the top 100 tourist attractions in Chungnam.

Chungnam Province announced on the 5th that it conducted an online satisfaction survey targeting tourists who visited tourist sites within the province and selected the ‘Top 100 Excellent Tourist Attractions in Chungnam.’

The survey was conducted online for three weeks starting from the 7th of last month. The target was tourists who visited 241 major tourist sites in the province, and a total of 41,982 responses were received. Based on the submitted responses, the province compiled satisfaction evaluation scores to select the excellent tourist attractions.

As a result, by city and county, the following were selected: ▲ 11 places including Boryeong Daecheon Beach and Chungcheong Naval Fortress ▲ 10 places including Asan Oeam Folk Village and Gongseri Catholic Church ▲ 10 places including Buyeo National Buyeo Museum and Seongheungsan Sarang Tree ▲ 9 places including Taean Ggotji Beach and Cheollipo Arboretum ▲ 8 places including Seosan Ganwolam, Haemi Fortress Village, and Haemi Martyrdom Shrine ▲ 8 places including Seocheon Chunjangdae Beach and Sinseong-ri Reed Field.

Also, ▲ 8 places including Cheonan Gakwonsa Temple and Independence Hall ▲ 8 places including Gongju Gongsanseong Fortress and Magoksa Temple ▲ 7 places including Nonsan Donam Seowon Confucian Academy and Myeongjae Old House ▲ 6 places including Dangjin Nanji Island and Sapgyo Lake ▲ 5 places including Hongseong Sokdong Observatory and Eumbongsan Mountain ▲ 4 places including Geumsan Geumsan Ginseng Center and Chilbaek Uichong Memorial ▲ 3 places including Cheongyang Chilgapsan Mountain and Cheonjangho Suspension Bridge ▲ 3 places including Yesan Sudeoksa Temple and Yedangho Suspension Bridge were also named in the list of excellent tourist attractions.

The province will disclose the top 100 excellent tourist attractions on the Chungnam Culture and Tourism website and official tourism communication channels such as Facebook, Instagram, KakaoStory, and Naver Band under the theme ‘How far have you been in Chungnam?’

A provincial official said, “We will widely introduce the top 100 Chungnam tourist attractions selected directly by tourists to the public and make greater efforts to attract visitors to these sites,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to ensure that tourists visiting local attractions have a satisfying travel experience.”
