"Unilaterally Ending a Flirtation" Malicious Comment... Lee Seunghwan Warns "Please Exercise Proper Judgment"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Seoyoung] Singer Lee Seunghwan issued a warning to a netizen who claimed to have suffered emotional distress because of him.

Today (the 4th), Lee Seunghwan posted a screenshot of a comment left by a netizen on a previous post on his social media (SNS). The comment by netizen A read, "Suddenly ending the 'some' relationship unilaterally without giving any reason. Saying one thing and another about wanting to date, causing only emotional distress. How will my long efforts be compensated?", "I don't want to live. It hurts so much," among other statements.

In response, Lee Seunghwan replied, "Are you the person who previously trespassed without permission at Dream Factory (my current agency) claiming you had a promise with me? I will no longer tolerate this." Then A commented again, "If you had quietly apologized, said your mind changed, or that you found another woman, and kindly said let's stop, it wouldn't have come to this," and, "Ending things with a unilateral notice and acting provocatively is not mature. Sue me if you want. I'm not lying, so it's fine."

Lee Seunghwan confessed that he has experienced similar situations before, saying, "There are many people who behave like this through DM (direct messages)." He also explained, "There are people who insult other fans, people who ask to borrow money. Except for those who use vulgar or obscene language to sexually harass, I have just ignored them." However, he mentioned A's comment, saying, "But doing this in comments on my posts is unacceptable." This implies that all the statements A made publicly in the comments are false.

Lee Seunghwan then pointed out to A, "Seeing that you say I blocked you before, it seems your remarks have been severe for some time." He concluded his critical post by saying, "I live carefully and with restraint in all matters, but I have no tolerance for such lies," and, "I hope you discern right from wrong properly."

Meanwhile, netizens reacted to Lee Seunghwan's expos? post with comments such as, "I hope (A) stops already. Just reading the content of the comments is unpleasant," "Making such false statements publicly on SNS comments is highly malicious," "If intentional, it is practically defamation," and "Not only this case, but those who have made unreasonable demands or sexually harassing remarks through private messages in the past should also reflect."
