[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced on the 2nd that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) at the Startup Branch in COEX, Samseong-dong, to support overseas marketing for new energy and power equipment companies.
As part of the agreement, KITA opened an online exhibition hall on TradeKorea, a B2B online trading platform, for 51 companies including KEPCO KTP. In the future, they plan to expand the size of the online exhibition hall and support non-face-to-face marketing such as buyer matching and video consultations.
Kim Hyun-chul, Head of Global Marketing Division at KITA, said, "It is significant that the two organizations are cooperating to support promising small and medium-sized enterprises with competitive technologies but struggling to secure export channels," adding, "We will actively support the overseas expansion of new energy and power equipment companies such as solar power and energy storage systems (ESS) by utilizing the association's online platform and network."
