NSC Standing Committee Meeting Chaired by Seo Hoon, Director of National Security Office, to Review External Economic Cooperation
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] On the 1st, the Blue House held an NSC Standing Committee meeting chaired by Suh Hoon, Director of the National Security Office, and decided to strengthen cooperation for the early resumption of inter-Korean dialogue.
The Blue House stated, "Today's meeting was attended by Lee Ho-seung, Director of the Policy Office, and Nam Young-sook, Economic Advisor, to review foreign economic cooperation," adding, "the participants evaluated the results of recent consultations between South Korea, the United States, and related countries following the completion of the U.S. review of its North Korea policy."
In particular, the Blue House emphasized, "To facilitate the early resumption of inter-Korean dialogue, we have agreed to strengthen communication and cooperation among South Korea, the United States, and related countries."
Additionally, the Blue House explained, "We assessed the situation in Myanmar and the international community's response trends, and decided to closely cooperate with the international community for the swift restoration of democratic constitutional order, while our government will continue to seek additional response measures."
The Blue House added, "The participants reviewed the safety situation of overseas Koreans residing in high-risk areas and agreed to thoroughly protect and support our citizens while continuing to implement related measures."
