[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyunjung] The Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Education, and 17 other government ministries, along with Gwangju Metropolitan City and the social economy sector, will jointly hold the "3rd Korea Social Economy Expo" from the 2nd to the 4th of next month at the Gwangju Kim Dae-jung Convention Center.
This expo, postponed for a year due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, will be held as an on-site event under a thorough quarantine system, while the opening and closing ceremonies, e-Store 36.5 special exhibition, and Naver Shopping Live will also be conducted online.
The exhibition halls operated during the expo will consist of corporate exhibition halls, promotional halls, public institution consultation halls, and citizen participation spaces where performances and experiences are available. At the corporate exhibition halls, visitors can purchase and experience products and services at 200 booths, and through the visiting merchandise planner (MD) consultation sessions, product evaluations and sales channel consultations will be conducted to provide practical support to companies.
At the public institution consultation hall, 33 public institutions will participate to provide consultations on public procurement, sales channel expansion, and corporate support projects. The citizen participation space will feature cultural and artistic performances, 24 types of experience programs, a "Store 36.5" social economy product sales area with BySocial exhibitions and experiences, and a "Beautiful Store" sharing event.
Additionally, side events will include academic and policy events, job and startup consultations, experience events and tours, and online consultations with overseas buyers, offering a variety of programs. There will also be social venture impact company presentations (IR), social economy academic conferences, seminars, and policy discussions on various topics. Through comprehensive job and startup consultation halls and online consultations with overseas buyers, opportunities for social economy-related consultations will be provided, along with experience events, tours, and social economy markets for visitors' enjoyment.
