Ha Tae-kyung: "KAI System Hacked by North Korea"

Ha, a member of the National Assembly Intelligence Committee, stated in a press release that "the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) acknowledged that KAI was hacked," and added, "DAPA is currently refusing to provide specific details, citing an ongoing investigation."

Ha raised the possibility that the design blueprints of the KF-21, the latest domestically produced fighter jet, might have been stolen, as KAI is producing the Korean Fighter Experimental (KF-X) series.

He particularly pointed out that since the hacking occurred around the same time as the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute incident in May, it is highly likely that the hacker group 'Kimsuky' under North Korea's Reconnaissance General Bureau was responsible.

Ha urged, "The National Intelligence Service must fully disclose all details and damages related to the recent North Korean hacking incidents," and added, "The concealment of North Korean hacking activities is a dereliction of duty by the National Intelligence Service, and Director Park Ji-won should resign."
