Extension of Bundang Line Confirmed, Osan Real Estate Buzzes; 'The Sharp Osan Elifore' Winner Announcement Today

With the final confirmation of the ‘4th National Railroad Network Construction Plan,’ which includes the extension of the Bundang Line, a green light has been given to contracts for ‘The Sharp Osan Elifore,’ which directly benefits from this development. The extension of the Bundang Line will enable direct travel to Gangnam, Seoul, and the use of extensive transportation networks such as SRT and GTX (planned) will become more convenient, significantly enhancing transportation accessibility.

On June 29, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport officially confirmed the ‘4th National Railroad Network Construction Plan’ announced earlier in April. This plan outlines the national railroad network construction strategy for the next 10 years. Notably, Osan City was stirred when the plan included the long-awaited ‘Bundang Line extension project’ at the time of its announcement.

With the confirmation of the Bundang Line (Osan-Giheung) extension plan, Osan real estate is expected to soar with the ‘railroad wings.’ Until now, Osan lacked convenient direct transportation to Seoul. For example, to reach Gangnam, Seoul by subway, passengers had to transfer once at Suwon Station or Geumjeong Station. However, once the confirmed Bundang Line extension opens, it will be possible to travel directly to Gangnam via Bundang.

Moreover, the Bundang Line extension project will connect to Dongtan Station, making transfers to SRT, GTX-A (planned), and the Indeokwon-Dongtan double-track railway (planned), which stop at Dongtan Station, much easier, allowing smooth travel across major metropolitan areas.

An official from a real estate agency in Osan said, “With the confirmation of the Bundang Line extension plan, there is a festival-like atmosphere among Osan residents and prospective residents, fueled by the expectation that they can travel directly to Seoul in one step. Especially, inquiries are flooding in from young people working in the Gangnam area, centered around the Osan western district, where sales are currently underway.”

As the Osan western district heats up, ‘The Sharp Osan Elifore,’ which will immediately benefit from the Bundang Line extension, is also expected to have smooth contract proceedings next month. Located in the Osan area adjacent to Segyo 2 District, it consists of a total of 927 households with exclusive areas of 59, 75, and 84 square meters. The winners of the subscription lottery will be announced on June 30, and official contracts will be conducted for one week from July 12 (Monday) to July 18 (Sunday).

The units feature a 4-bay, slab-type layout (except for some types) to enhance openness, and include facilities such as a children's water playground and a community care center, attracting attention.

The model house is located in Osan City. Move-in is scheduled for December 2023.
