[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Mesh Korea (CEO Yoo Jung-beom), operator of 'Boorung,' announced on the 29th that it will participate in the 'ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Mobility Consortium.'
The ESG Mobility Consortium consists of platform service companies, e-mobility manufacturers, and regional hub operators working together to establish a foundation for stable youth policy implementation and to promote the spread of eco-friendly e-mobility. At the consortium launch ceremony held on the same day, Mesh Korea signed mutual agreements with participating companies to promote the distribution of e-mobility and talent development.
The participating companies in the consortium plan to jointly promote related projects based on fundamental policies aimed at contributing to local communities through youth-centered job creation, actively responding to climate change, minimizing environmental pollution by reducing carbon emissions, and pursuing transparent management and ethical corporate activities to realize ESG values. In particular, they plan to develop this project as a model case of representative cooperative commercialization through mutual linkage with local governments.
As a last-mile logistics service company participating in the consortium, Mesh Korea will contribute to revitalizing the distribution of e-mobility by local governments by introducing eco-friendly e-mobility such as ultra-small electric vehicles and electric bikes into last-mile delivery operations. Additionally, it will provide various information derived from the delivery process to collaborative organizations by utilizing its own IT-based digital distribution logistics solutions. This information undergoes big data analysis and is then transformed into an optimal digital transportation solution model through simulations of various logistics processes.
Yoo Jung-beom, CEO of Mesh Korea, said, "Boorung is taking the lead in practicing ESG management and actively promoting collaboration with various institutions to realize eco-friendly logistics." He added, "We will proactively respond to next-generation transportation means such as e-mobility and lead the establishment of next-generation distribution logistics platforms through participation in various demonstrations and verifications."
