Hana Tour Extends Mileage and Gift Certificate Validity Period by Additional 6 Months

[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Hana Tour announced on the 28th that it will extend the validity period of Hana Tour mileage and travel vouchers, which are set to expire in the second half of this year, by an additional 6 months.

The validity period of Hana Tour mileage and travel vouchers is 5 years. However, considering the prolonged COVID-19 situation that has made overseas travel virtually impossible recently, Hana Tour will extend the validity period of mileage and travel vouchers worth approximately 11.5 billion KRW, which are set to expire between July 1 and December 31 of this year, by 6 months.

Hana Tour had already extended the validity period of mileage and travel vouchers by 1 year as of January last year and by 6 months as of January this year. This is the third extension measure. For members whose validity period was extended last year, the total extension period including this measure amounts to 2 years.

A Hana Tour representative explained, "This is Hana Tour's commitment to prioritizing customer value by protecting customers' rights and interests and providing customer-centric products and services, as well as an extension of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management."

The Hana Tour representative added, "Considering the difficulties in overseas travel due to COVID-19, we decided to further extend the validity period of Hana Tour mileage and travel vouchers," and stated, "We will realize a higher level of customer value through services that customers want, such as mileage validity extension and expanded usage options."

Hana Tour mileage is accumulated up to 1% of the amount spent when using Hana Tour services after becoming a member, and can also be used at affiliated partners such as travel through Hana Tour and the mileage mall.
