The 1st Art Lotte will be held at the main store Avenue Lotte basement floors 1 to 4 (June 29 to August 23) and at the Jamsil store Avenue Lotte 6th floor Art Hall (July 1 to 25).
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Department Store announced on the 28th that it will actively engage in the sale of artworks both online and offline in response to the growing demand for art pieces.
The offline gallery, which was previously operated mainly for exhibitions, will be reorganized into a space for both exhibitions and continuous sales, and the premium sales event "Art Lotte" will be held twice a year regularly. Additionally, a digital gallery will be established. A separate online gallery section will be opened within the Lotte Department Store app, allowing customers to consult and purchase artworks remotely by price range and theme. To this end, Lotte Department Store plans to newly organize a dedicated gallery team and hire additional specialists within the year.

This exhibition will introduce about 60 representative works by artists currently gaining attention in the art market, including Lee Ufan, Park Seo-bo, Kim Chang-ryeol, Yoon Hyung-keun, Ha Chong-hyun, and Jung Sang-hwa. Art advisors will be stationed at the exhibition venues to provide explanations and assist with purchases.
A Lotte Department Store official said, "Art is a content that represents the experiential elements recently valued by department stores, and we expect it to provide customers with active inspiration and healing," adding, "We will strive to discover high-quality artistic content so that galleries and art marketing can become new growth engines for department stores."
