Performance Growth Alongside Global Wireless Charging Market Expansion
Business Expansion Expected in Next-Generation Electronic Warfare and IoT
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Amosense, a next-generation automotive electronics and Internet of Things (IoT) specialist, is showing strong performance on its first day listed on the KOSDAQ market.
At 9:12 a.m. on the 25th, Amosense was trading at 14,400 KRW, up 17.75% from the opening price.
Amosense started trading at 12,250 KRW, slightly below the public offering price of 12,400 KRW on the day.
Founded in 2008, Amosense is a next-generation automotive electronics and IoT total solution company that developed the world's first wireless charging shielding sheet. It is focusing on advancing core communication modules and precision sensor technologies needed for autonomous driving and eco-friendly vehicles. Starting as early as this year, it plans to begin full-scale mass production of new business items across all business areas including automotive electronics, IoT, existing radio frequency (RF), and materials.
Researcher Jongseon Park of Eugene Investment & Securities explained, "Since last year, shielding sheets have been applied to Amazon tablets and Kindles," adding, "Wireless charging has been applied to Google Pixel Buds, wireless charging modules to Jabra wireless earphones, and automotive wireless charging to Continental, expanding the customer base."
He continued, "In May this year, wireless charging modules were applied to Amazon Echo Buds," and predicted, "In November this year, mass production of wireless power transfer products for the temperature sensor of global home appliance company Cook is planned, continuing performance growth."
He said, "The business will expand not only in next-generation automotive electronics but also in IoT," adding, "They supply total automotive and IoT solutions from UWB, RF communication design to sensors, modules, and platforms." He also emphasized, "Commercialization of UWB-based digital keys by Hyundai Motor and BMW is scheduled for this year," and "Samsung Electronics' UWB SmartTag Plus is currently in mass production."
Amosense is also developing hydrogen vehicle pressure sensor modules and hydrogen precision sensor modules. In January 2023, it will mass-produce high-pressure and medium-pressure modules for Hyundai Motor's hydrogen trucks. It is also developing AI speaker voice recognition modules for autonomous driving, including voice recognition modules for Hyundai Mobis' autonomous driving infotainment systems.
