Homeplus Launches Signature Whole Leg Barbecue... "Sweet and Salty, Spicy and Sweet" Homeplus is introducing two types of whole leg barbecue through its premium private brand (PB), Homeplus Signature.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Homeplus announced on the 25th that it will introduce two types of whole leg barbecue through its premium private brand (PB) Homeplus Signature.


This product was created in collaboration with the chicken franchise BBQ. Domestic chicken legs are coated with BBQ's signature Gangjeong-flavored sauce and spicy barbecue sauce, and made using a tunnel oven process technique to achieve a tender yet chewy texture.


The Gangjeong whole leg barbecue offers a sweet and salty flavor combination, known as "sweet and salty," while the spicy whole leg barbecue balances moderate spiciness with sweetness, delivering a "spicy-sweet-spicy-sweet" taste. Both products are not overly stimulating, making them suitable for children as well as adults as a side dish.


Using whole chicken legs, the large size is immediately noticeable, and they can be conveniently cooked at home using a microwave or air fryer. The manufacturer of this product has obtained HACCP certification and international food safety system certification, enhancing food safety in line with the premium PB concept.


These products are available at Homeplus stores nationwide and online. To commemorate the product launch, both items are being sold at a discounted price of 10,900 KRW per pack (containing 3 pieces). Additionally, a promotion is being held where customers who purchase the product will receive two cans of Chilsung Cider Zero, limited to 5,000 units.


A Homeplus representative said, “As consumer interest in convenience foods continues to grow, we planned this product so that popular chicken franchise menu items can be purchased at large supermarkets. Since this product is made based on the principle of quality first, it excels in both taste and safety, and we expect it to become popular among customers.”
