On the same day, Representative Yang issued a statement saying, "I sincerely apologize to the victim and the victim's family regarding the sexual harassment issue that occurred at the local office," and added, "I have officially requested an investigation at the Gwangju Seobu Police Station into the perpetrator who worked at our local office on charges of sexual harassment using workplace authority."

Representative Yang said, "I take full responsibility for this incident," and bowed her head, saying, "I have caused irreparable wounds to the victim's family. I apologize again."

She conveyed her intention to take all possible measures for the victim and to respond with a zero-tolerance policy toward the perpetrator.

She stated, "I will leave no room for suspicion and will actively cooperate with the investigation to ensure a thorough inquiry under the principle of zero tolerance," adding, "I will be careful and vigilant myself to ensure that the victim does not suffer any harm or difficulties during the investigation process."

She continued, "From the moment the incident was recognized until now, I humbly ask for forgiveness for all actions that caused pain to the victim and their family," and reiterated, "I take full responsibility for this matter."

Representative Yang said, "I will do everything necessary for the complete restoration of the victim's honor and their full return to daily life," and promised, "I will apologize and take responsibility for life."

According to political circles, Mr. A, the accounting manager of Representative Yang's local office, was excluded from his duties on suspicion of committing multiple sexual crimes against subordinate employee Mr. B.
