Starlight-Like Serenade of Love Colors Hwangmaesan in Sancheong

On the 24th, the county announced that the "Sancheong Hwangmaesan Starlight Serenade Contest" will be held at Hwangmaesan Mirinae Park (1-1 Beoppyeong-ri, Chahwang-myeon) from 8 p.m. on the 26th.
Under the theme "Blooming Romance at Shining Sancheong Hwangmaesan," this event is an opportunity for couples across South Korea to confess their love to each other.
Since May, the county has been recruiting participants and, after an online preliminary screening, selected a total of 13 couples, including university student couples, engaged couples, newlyweds, multicultural couples, and middle-aged and elderly couples.
They plan to confess their love through various songs and performances such as musicals, trot, and ballads, utilizing park facilities like the starlight tunnel and photo zones installed at Sancheong Hwangmaesan Mirinae Park.
The county will also create a wedding-like atmosphere on the performance stage, offering unmarried couples a new start and married couples a reminder wedding experience.
As it is a contest, prize money and awards will be given to the winners. To encourage participants from all over the country to visit Sancheong for a romantic trip even after the contest, part of the prize money will be provided as "Sancheong Love Gift Certificates."
In particular, a "Sancheong Honeymoon Basket," consisting of local specialties such as perilla oil, nuts, apple watermelon, and Sancheong beer, will be presented with the meaning of "live sweetly and richly."
A county official said, "With the recent opening of Mirinae Park, Hwangmaesan has various facilities such as a night starlight tunnel, love photo zones, and campgrounds, and was even named a wedding destination selected by Gyeongnam Province last year," adding, "We hope that Sancheong Hwangmaesan, with hiking during the day and starlight and romance at night, will become widely known as a dating course not only for couples and spouses but also for families."
