On the 24th, On-site Meeting and Regional Industry Innovation & ESG Management Declaration Ceremony Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 24th that it will hold an on-site meeting with the Gangwon Hoengseong-type e-mobility cluster council and a regional industrial innovation and ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) management declaration ceremony at the Gangwon Hoengseong-gun Win-Win Job Office.
The Gangwon Hoengseong-type job model is a win-win model where finished vehicle manufacturers producing ultra-small electric cargo vehicles and parts companies share profits and create sustainable jobs. SBC prepared this meeting to listen to the difficulties of participating companies and to seek effective support measures together with Gangwon Province and Hoengseong-gun for the successful establishment of the Gangwon Hoengseong-type e-mobility cluster.
The companies participating in the meeting will share difficulties and suggestions encountered in building a cooperative ecosystem, such as financing, difficulties in hiring skilled personnel, and the establishment of a certification center for testing and certification. SBC will introduce policy support projects for regional industrial innovation, such as cooperative funds, manufacturing site smart funds, and innovation vouchers.
Going forward, SBC and its member companies plan to take the lead in realizing and spreading consensus on ESG management, including the production and distribution of eco-friendly electric vehicles, contributing to the local community through horizontal profit sharing, and achieving win-win cooperation by breaking away from vertical structures between companies. Chairman Kim Hak-do said, "ESG management, which has become a key indicator for judging the sustainability of companies, is now a necessity, not a choice, even for small and medium ventures," adding, "SBC will actively support the realization of ESG management for small and medium ventures by linking various policy projects and will also actively support the successful establishment of cooperative ecosystems like the Gangwon Hoengseong-type jobs and regional industrial innovation."
