Gimhae City Holds Regional Care Meeting to Provide Integrated Care Services Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, held a local care meeting to establish care plans suitable for each individual receiving integrated care services.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 23rd that it held a local care meeting to comprehensively assess the needs of community-integrated care recipients and to coordinate services.


During the meeting, various discussions were held to stably support independent living at home for recipients returning to the community after discharge and those with medical and welfare needs living in the area, and a suitable care plan was established for each of the 14 recipients.


About 20 related experts attended the meeting, including representatives from the National Health Insurance Service Health Support Center, Gimhae City Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Gimhae Regional Self-Support Center, private sector stakeholders in health care, welfare, and housing fields, as well as officials from the main office and eup, myeon, and dong offices related to elderly welfare.


A Gimhae City official stated, “Starting this year, we plan to expand the target group from the elderly to include people with mental illnesses and disabilities, and we will continue to hold substantive meetings by discovering various experts in related fields.”


Meanwhile, since being selected as a pilot project for community-integrated care by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in April 2019, the city has been holding regular local care meetings once a month to support recipients with complex needs, and so far, through 23 meetings, a total of 163 recipients have been supported.
