[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Homeplus announced on the 23rd that it will participate in the ‘2021 Korea Together Sale’ held from the 24th of this month to the 11th of next month, and will carry out the ‘Farm and Fishery Complete Sales Project’ for coexistence with domestic fresh farms at nationwide stores and online malls.
This year, Homeplus will continue its coexistence with farms by purchasing all 140 tons of glutinous barley produced in Gapado. During the Together Sale period, it will offer pesticide-free glutinous barley rice (2kg) from Gapado, Jeju Island, and sell it at an affordable price of 5,990 won, limited to 15,000 units.
To support livestock farms, it will also promote meat consumption. From the 24th to the 30th, all pork products of grade 1 or higher will be supplied in a quantity of 50 tons and offered at up to 30% discount when paying with event cards. Fruit prices have been reduced through card discount benefits. Various seafood products will be sold at a 20% discount to MyHomeplus membership members.
A Homeplus official said, “Since we have created a win-win process through coexistence with domestic fresh farms, we will take the lead this time as well to help domestic fresh farms struggling due to various adverse factors such as the COVID-19 situation, and to provide customers with the best quality products.”
