Dongjak-gu Holds Online and Offline Roundtable Meetings with 100+ Residents

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongjak-gu will hold the ‘Dongjak Governance 100+ Roundtable Meeting’ simultaneously online and offline at 2 p.m. on the 29th.

The Dongjak Governance Roundtable Meeting is a public forum where residents from various social groups gather to share agendas for regional development and discuss solutions.

At this meeting, six public-private governance implementation projects in four areas?▲jobs ▲welfare ▲education ▲culture?discovered through over 60 public-private deliberations and discussions since January, will be discussed.

The event will be held in the main auditorium of the district office, where responsible officials and project presenters will attend and explain and discuss Dongjak-gu governance projects together with residents participating via online video conference (ZOOM). It will be broadcast live on YouTube.

The agenda includes ▲final deliberations on the 2022 public-private governance projects ▲announcement of the results of online and offline resident voting for priority selection ▲‘Wise Dongjak Governance Life’ quiz ▲Q&A session, providing time for communication and consensus building.

The governance projects selected at the meeting will be reflected in the ‘2022 Dongjak-gu Community Innovation Plan,’ submitted to the Dongjak-gu Governance Council and Seoul City in early July, and after final approval, will be implemented by the district.

The 100+ Roundtable Meeting is open to all Dongjak-gu residents, and about 100 participants will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis until the 27th.

Residents wishing to participate can apply through the participation and communication section on the district website.

For more details, inquiries can be made to the Planning and Coordination Division.

Meanwhile, this year, the district is executing the third-year Community Innovation Plan, which includes six governance implementation projects in areas such as governance foundation advancement and capacity building, dementia care projects, and village-type shared offices, aiming for ‘governance growth through connection and expansion.’

Kim Hyun-ho, head of the Planning and Coordination Division, said, “This roundtable meeting is an opportunity to reflect social values that contribute to public interest and community development in district administration,” adding, “We will continue to create communication spaces where governance culture spreads through the participation and cooperation of many residents.”
