Speeding Up Talent Acquisition... Comprehensive Reinforcement in Operations, Technology, and Strategy

Mesh Korea Aims to Become a Comprehensive Distribution Logistics Company with Manpower

Mesh Korea is accelerating the recruitment of prominent figures with outstanding competitiveness in various fields. Executives from major corporations such as Samsung are joining the management team led by founder CEO Yoo Jung-beom one after another. The influx of talent is taking place across management, technology, logistics, and strategy. As Mesh Korea aggressively expands its business areas by enhancing infrastructure to leap forward as a comprehensive distribution and logistics company, this is interpreted as a strategy to strengthen its growth foundation through 'manpower.'

According to industry sources on the 3rd, Mesh Korea plans to continue recruiting competitive talent in the second half of this year. Specialized personnel in the relevant fields are essential for 'Vroong,' operated by Mesh Korea, to evolve from a short-distance delivery service to an IT-based comprehensive distribution and logistics service.

◆Executive Team Composed of Former Major Corporation Employees=Mesh Korea is forming its executive team with individuals proven to be competitive in the domestic market. First, Kim Seung-min, Chief Operating Officer (COO), who was recruited in February this year, worked at Samsung Electronics for over 30 years, gaining extensive experience in overall management. He currently also serves as Mesh Korea's Chief Financial Officer (CFO), designing financial and strategic activities such as investment attraction and mid-to-long-term strategies. Tak Jung-wook, Head of Business Strategy, is also a former Samsung Electronics employee. He served as Executive Vice President of IBM's Systems Division, then as Senior Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics' enterprise-wide B2B Strategy Group, Senior Executive Vice President of the Wireless Business Division's European Market B2B Sales Group, and Vice President in charge of Global Planning at Paris Croissant, earning recognition as an expert in strategic planning and business innovation. Recently recruited as Head of Operations, Choi Byung-joon began his career at Samsung C&T Corporation. He then worked at Homeplus, Tesco UK, and Lotte Shopping, gaining recognition for his competitiveness before serving as Head of Supply Chain Management (SCM) at Coupang and Head of B Mart Operations at Woowa Brothers. Kang Dae-jun, Chief Investment Officer (CIO), appointed at the end of last year, previously worked as an accountant advising on corporate value evaluation for Samsung Electronics.

In addition, Mesh Korea has recruited executives whose competitiveness has been verified at domestic major corporations and global companies. Dr. Kim Myung-hwan, appointed as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) this year, is an expert who earned a Ph.D. in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Social Networks from Stanford University in the United States. He developed the friend recommendation service on LinkedIn, the world's largest business networking site, and led the AI service operations team. Han Kwang-hee, Chief Business Officer (CBO), appointed at the end of last year, is a global sales and network expert who previously led business operations at CJ CGV and CJ CheilJedang in China. Lee Yeon-kyung, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), who joined last year, has over 20 years of experience in marketing communications at prominent companies such as Audi Korea and Aju Group. The newly joined executives unanimously cite the potential of Mesh Korea's IT-based logistics solutions as the reason for joining 'Vroong.' Tak Jung-wook said, "Mesh Korea is a company equipped with solutions that enable efficient logistics flow based on logistics infrastructure, IT, and data."

◆Strengthening Growth Foundation through 'Manpower'=The reason Mesh Korea is focusing on recruiting executives recognized for their abilities at major corporations is to address various challenges that may arise during future business expansion. Last month alone, Mesh Korea opened the Gimpo Fulfillment Center (FC) and the Songpa 2nd Micro Fulfillment Center (MFC), establishing physical infrastructure as a comprehensive distribution and logistics company. It is also accelerating investor acquisition.

As the distribution market is being reorganized into a seller-centered D2C (Direct To Consumer) ecosystem, a dense nationwide logistics network has emerged as a core competitiveness in the logistics market where fast delivery is vital. Mesh Korea's strategy is to grow into a comprehensive digital logistics company capable of providing advanced IT-based logistics solutions based on manpower. A Mesh Korea official said, "By rapidly building quick commerce infrastructure using various means of transportation with a systematic and centralized business structure, we will leap forward as a total solution provider company."
