[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] BC Card announced on the 22nd that it will conduct the 'Good Steps' campaign to support national veterans and vulnerable groups in the local community through employee walking.

The Good Steps campaign is conducted by using the Jung-gu Health Mileage application (app) of Jung-gu Office in Seoul. BC Card employees who apply for the campaign donate all the mileage (1 mileage = 1 won) they can earn by achieving their daily step goals. Each person can accumulate up to 200 mileage per day.

BC Card plans to contribute to the development of the local community by additionally raising donations through a matching grant based on the mileage accumulated by about 500 employees during the month of June, supporting health care for national veterans and vulnerable groups within Jung-gu.

As part of the Good Steps campaign, a plogging event was also held. The event took place in front of Jung-gu Office in Jung-gu, Seoul, with about 60 participants including Choi Won-seok, President of BC Card, Seo Yang-ho, Mayor of Jung-gu, Yoon Young-deok, and BC Card employees. They carried out environmental cleanup activities in various areas within Jung-gu over approximately two hours.

Choi Won-seok, President of BC Card, said, "We have prepared a campaign that accumulates employees' steps as donation mileage to resolve welfare blind spots in the local community and support vulnerable groups while protecting the environment. We will continue to make efforts to coexist with the local community through social contribution activities in various fields."
