Songpa-gu Job Integrated Support Center Solves Both Hiring and Job-Seeking Difficulties at Once...

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) Integrated Job Support Center presents customized solutions for job seekers and recruiting companies through its second half of 2021 program implementation.

Since its opening in November 2018, the Integrated Job Support Center has enhanced job seekers' employment capabilities and connected suitable talent to recruiting companies, increasing satisfaction on both sides.

In particular, by integrating the previously scattered job recruitment channels in Songpa-gu, the efficiency of job placement has also improved.

Building on accumulated experience, the Integrated Job Support Center has strengthened its own programs such as ▲ Munjeong Biz Valley Online Specialized Recruitment Hall ▲ Meet-up! Startup! ▲ Songpa Employment Academy 'Songsagan' ▲ Songpa Job Start, and announced the second half of 2021 programs.

First, it operates the Munjeong Biz Valley Online Specialized Recruitment Hall, which gathers job postings from excellent companies within Munjeong Biz Valley, and conducts a project supporting corporate recruitment costs. About 3,000 new growth engine industry companies, including IT convergence, bio, and green industries, are located in Munjeong Biz Valley.

Through focused promotion until August 6, the program details are exposed at the top of the Job Korea main page to encourage easy access for job seekers and arrange joint recruitment for companies, seeking opportunities for both sides.

There is also the Meet-up! Startup! program, which matches startups struggling to find suitable talent and lacking time to hire quality personnel with job seekers hoping to support promising startups with growth potential. It supports everything from startup company promotion and recruitment information provision to talent discovery linkage, resolving companies' recruitment difficulties and supporting startup growth. Recruitment announcements for job seekers interested in excellent startups are planned for September.

The job seeker-targeted program, Songpa Employment Academy 'Songsagan,' is a program where participants listen to vivid job talks from current employees of excellent domestic and international companies. More than 600 job seekers participated in the first half of this year alone, receiving help for employment. Incumbents directly provide mentoring on application forms and mock interview tips, offering opportunities for job exploration and competency learning. Most participants expressed satisfaction, saying they received practical help for employment by hearing job stories closely related to the field. New programs featuring current employees from different fields will be opened in the upcoming second half of the year.

Additionally, for job seekers who feel overwhelmed preparing for employment, there is the Songpa Job Start program that helps take the first step in job preparation. Songpa Job Start conducts small-scale monthly employment consulting for young people struggling with employment. Especially tailored to the post-COVID-19 era, it covers all necessary aspects for employment, including changes and response strategies in the recruitment market, video interviews, AI interviews, and non-face-to-face interview skills.

All programs are conducted non-face-to-face in accordance with the COVID-19 era, and detailed information can be checked via phone or online through the Songpa Integrated Job Support Center. Participants are provided with opportunities to experience AI/VR interviews and also receive benefits such as vocational psychological testing.

Mayor Park Seong-su said, “Due to the rapid changes in the job market caused by COVID-19, many job seekers are struggling to find employment, and many companies are having difficulty finding suitable talent,” adding, “In the second half of this year, we will strengthen the programs of the Songpa Integrated Job Support Center to create a virtuous cycle ecosystem of job placement where recruitment and job seeking difficulties are smoothly resolved.”
