Free Distribution of President Moon's Speech Collection Highlighting 'K-Quarantine' Achievements

In the 4th Year of National Policy Operation, 211 Speeches and Messages Collected... Blue House, Ministry of Culture, and Online Bookstores Distribute eBooks for Free

[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] A collection of speeches by President Moon Jae-in, highlighting the achievements of 'K-Quarantine' related to COVID-19, will be distributed for free as an e-book.

On the 21st, the Blue House announced, "President Moon's fourth speech collection and message collection titled 'Korea's Great Transformation to Leap as a Leading Nation' have been published. It is a record of one year in the fourth year, from May 10, 2020, to May 9, 2021, containing the president's key messages and photos." The speech collection (consisting of upper and lower volumes and a separate volume set) includes 211 items such as major speeches, meeting remarks, and media contributions.

The speech collection contains messages from virtual international conferences reflecting Korea's elevated status through K-Quarantine and its role as a bridge country, as well as speeches related to the Korean New Deal expressing the will for Korea's great transformation. The Blue House explained, "The SNS messages, which have more than doubled compared to the third volume, show President Moon's determination to communicate directly with the people even during the COVID-19 situation."

The message collection categorizes national tasks into 38 keywords and includes related messages and vivid on-site photos. The appendix contains the full text of the 'National Report Meeting' speech outlining the concept and plan of the Korean New Deal, as well as the invited speech at the World Health Assembly (WHA) introducing the successful efforts of K-Quarantine.

6,000 copies of the speech collection and 15,000 copies of the message collection will be produced and sequentially distributed from June 21 to public institutions such as the legislative, judicial, and executive branches, as well as multi-use facilities like national and public libraries.

The e-books (e-PUB) can be downloaded for free from the Blue House and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism websites, as well as online bookstores (Yes24, Aladin, Ridibooks, Kyobo Bookstore, Google Books, iBooks).

Meanwhile, the Blue House has also published an English speech collection translated from selected major event photos and speeches related to President Moon, which received much attention domestically and internationally.

The Blue House stated, "The English anthology will be distributed to foreign diplomatic missions in Korea, overseas Korean cultural centers, domestic foreign press support centers, central government ministries, and major university libraries at home and abroad. Like the Korean speech collection, it will be available for download as an e-book on the Blue House English website starting from the 21st. We expect it to contribute to widely promoting Korea's enhanced national prestige in the international community."
