Geumcheon-gu Hosts G-Valley Online Export Consultation... Why?


[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) will hold the ‘2021 G Valley Online Export Consultation’ from the 23rd to the 25th to support small and medium-sized enterprises struggling to develop overseas market channels due to COVID-19.


Held for the 6th time this year, the G Valley Export Consultation is an event jointly hosted every year by Geumcheon-gu, Seoul Business Agency (SBA), Guro-gu, and Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, sharing roles to support G Valley companies’ entry into overseas markets.


Previously, the export consultation was held once during the ‘G Valley Week,’ a week of G Valley industry and cultural events, but this year it will be held three times in total?June 23-25, August 25-27, and October 6-8 (during G Valley Week)?providing participating companies with opportunities to consult with overseas buyers from more diverse regions.


This export consultation will be held online at booths set up in the SBA G Valley support base space, the same as last year due to COVID-19.


About 66 companies located in Geumcheon-gu and Seoul in fields such as electrical and electronics, consumer goods, and media content, along with more than 30 overseas buyers, will participate and conduct 1:1 matched online consultations according to the consultation schedule.


Participating companies will receive support before and after consultations, including discovering overseas buyers, providing information, interpretation support, and product sample delivery.


In addition, various side events such as live broadcast promotions by Chinese Wanghong and offline showroom operations will be held together.


Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “Although it is a difficult time for small and medium-sized enterprises due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, I hope the G Valley Online Export Consultation will be of some help for G Valley companies’ overseas expansion,” and added, “We will prepare support measures to strengthen the competitiveness of local small and medium-sized enterprises and resolve management difficulties through close cooperation with related organizations.”
