[Breaking] Indoor Sports Facilities, Movie Theaters, PC Bangs, and Study Cafes Allowed 24-Hour Operation Starting Next Month

[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] The Central Accident Response Headquarters of the Ministry of Health and Welfare announced on the 20th that a new social distancing phase revision plan will be implemented starting next month on the 1st.

Under the new social distancing measures, the operating hours restrictions for restaurants, cafes, and karaoke rooms under Level 2 will be extended until midnight. There will be no operating hour restrictions at Level 1, and at Level 3, businesses can operate until 10 PM.

Cinemas, performance venues, PC rooms, study cafes, and indoor sports facilities will have no operating restrictions from Levels 1 to 3. However, if raised to Level 4, these multi-use facilities will only be allowed to operate until 10 PM.

If the current level of COVID-19 spread is maintained, Level 2 is expected to be applied in the metropolitan area, and Level 1 in non-metropolitan areas.
