[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] A variety of rich information about welfare for the disabled has been compiled into one book.
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Noh Hyun-song) announced that it will publish the "2021 Guidebook for Disabled Welfare Projects," organized by category so that comprehensive information on welfare projects for the disabled can be viewed at a glance.
This is to help residents find various welfare projects for the disabled more easily and conveniently, ensuring that necessary welfare services can be provided in a timely manner.
In particular, this booklet is produced in a compact 44-page format, making it easy to carry and accessible for users.
The booklet systematically contains detailed information on seven project areas: ▲Living Stability Support ▲Housing Support ▲Voucher Support ▲Automobile-related Support ▲Job-related Support ▲Various Reductions and Tax Benefits ▲Other Support Projects.
Additionally, the district included all the changes in disabled welfare projects and the status of welfare facilities for the disabled this year, listing support facilities and contact information for each project to ensure no inconvenience in using welfare services.
The district will produce 5,000 copies of the guidebook and distribute them evenly to the district office civil service center, each community service center, health centers, and social welfare organizations within the region.
Also, the main contents of the booklet will be posted in the disabled welfare policy section on the district office website so that any resident in need can access it.
Furthermore, the district plans to prioritize distribution to severely disabled individuals and their families, who are relatively vulnerable to information, to fulfill the disabled community's right to know.
A district official said, "We hope residents can use the necessary welfare services more easily through this booklet," and added, "We will continue to provide various welfare information so that residents do not miss out on the support they need."
