[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) was selected as an excellent institution for the second consecutive year at the '2020 National Human Resources Development Consortium Excellence Awards Ceremony' held on the 18th at the Grand Ballroom of Seoul Garden Hotel.
The National Human Resources Development Consortium is a project where public institutions, companies, and universities sign joint training agreements with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and provide customized training to SME workers by utilizing training facilities. The Ministry of Employment and Labor annually evaluates 142 joint training centers nationwide based on training courses, expertise of dedicated personnel, and performance assessments to select and award excellent institutions.
At this year's awards ceremony, 12 institutions including Incheon TP and Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation, as well as 8 companies including Hyundai Rotem, Samsung SDI, and KT, were selected as top institutions.
Incheon TP operated a highly skilled design training course that can be immediately applied to practical work, including design planning, idea visualization, modeling design, and 3D printer output, producing over 570 graduates from about 300 SMEs.
Incheon TP also opened new training courses related to environmental design such as exhibition and sign design, converting more than 40% of the courses to real-time online video training, achieving the remarkable feat of being selected as an excellent institution for two consecutive years.
An official from Incheon TP stated, "We will strive even harder to become the nation's best joint training center leading the development of the design industry and enhancing the design competitiveness of SMEs."
