[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City in Gyeongnam announced on the 18th that it will renovate the urban streams in Jangyu Yulha District, including Gukwandongcheon, Sinlicheon, Tteulcheon, and Jangyucheon.

These four small streams are tributaries of Yulhacheon, with a total length of 5.1 km crossing apartment complexes, serving not only as water sources but also as ecological streams functioning as walking paths for local residents.

This stream renovation includes walking paths, garbage collection within the streams, riverbed dredging, and tree removal. The renovation of Tteulcheon and Jangyucheon in Yulha 2 District has already been completed.

The remaining unrenovated sections will be maintained before the rainy season to prepare for flooding during heavy rains.

Park Chang-geun, head of the River Department, said, "We will continue to do our best in stream management to provide a pleasant environment for citizens."
