The promotional center for the large-scale complex shopping mall ‘Arena X Square,’ being built at Changdong Private Railway Station, is attracting many visitors, from famous celebrities to contract holders, making it a hot topic.
Opened on the 18th (Friday), the ‘Arena X Square’ promotional center has begun full-scale contracts while strictly adhering to thorough quarantine and prevention measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, ensuring safety. Visitors must pass through a smart IoT air shower located at the entrance to remove fine dust and harmful substances, as well as undergo mandatory temperature checks and use hand sanitizer before entering.
With such strict quarantine measures in place, the promotional center has attracted attention as many celebrities, including renowned veteran actors representing Korea, have visited.
As the development of the northeastern area of Seoul has recently been spotlighted as a campaign promise of the Seoul mayor, interest in this complex has significantly increased. The news of visits by famous celebrities has further heated up the contract atmosphere for ‘Arena X Square.’
In fact, one visitor who came to the promotional center that day said, “I came because I was interested in investing in Arena X Square, but I didn’t expect to see famous celebrities here.”
Meanwhile, ‘Arena X Square’ has long been regarded as a much-anticipated project in the Changdong area, attracting considerable attention from many investors. Although development once slowed down, the current developer, Changdong Station Diot, cleared the obstacles that had been hindering progress and quickly pushed the project forward to reach the main contract schedule.
The Changdong Private Railway Station complex development is a project to redevelop the aging Changdong Station area in Dobong-gu, Seoul, creating a complex shopping mall ‘Arena X Square,’ a transfer center, and station facilities within a building spanning from two basement floors to ten above-ground floors, with a total floor area of approximately 87,293㎡.
Changdong Station is a transfer station for Seoul Subway Lines 1 and 4, already experiencing heavy foot traffic and undergoing several development plans. It is expected to become a successful example of a private railway station, similar to Yongsan Station, home to I’Park Mall, and Yeongdeungpo Station, where Lotte Department Store is located. Especially with the future opening of the GTX-C line, the commercial value is expected to rise significantly, which will also increase the value of ‘Arena X Square.’
Notably, ‘Arena X Square’ has already secured major tenants, which adds to its value. For example, ‘Diot,’ a shopping mall representing Dongdaemun Fashion Town, is scheduled to occupy an entire floor on the 4th floor above ground. Industry experts analyze that the foot traffic generated by Diot alone will be comparable to that of a large commercial district.
The promotional center for ‘Arena X Square,’ which continues to attract steady visits from investors, is located in Seocho-gu.
