According to industry sources on the 18th, Hyundai Motor's European Regional Headquarters recently appointed Shin Wang-cheol, former head of the French subsidiary, as the head of the German subsidiary, and Lionel French Kio, former Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the French subsidiary, as the head of the French subsidiary.
Additionally, Hyundai Motor recruited Thaling Hollander, former head of Nissan Motor's subsidiary, as COO of the Netherlands subsidiary. Michael Cole, head of Hyundai Motor's European Regional Headquarters, stated, "We will strengthen the provision of customer-centric mobility solutions through the replacement of management in the European market."
Kia's European Regional Headquarters also made personnel changes. Stefan Kost, former COO of the German subsidiary, was appointed as vice president of the European Regional Headquarters, and Emilio Erara, former COO of the European Regional Headquarters, was appointed as head of Kia Iberia (Spain) subsidiary.
Kia's European Regional Headquarters announced, "We will sell the Kia electric vehicle EV6 throughout Europe by the fourth quarter of next year," adding, "Vice President Kost will oversee the launch of 11 electric vehicle models by 2026."
