[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Allegations of student abuse at an unlicensed alternative school have surfaced, prompting a police investigation and causing unrest in the local community.
According to the Jeonnam Police Agency on the 18th, a report was received that the pastor's wife, son, and teachers at an unlicensed alternative school in Yeosu committed acts of violence and verbal abuse against students.
Parents claimed that the pastor's wife, son, and teachers habitually insulted and physically assaulted students.
The audio recordings they released contained clear evidence of school officials verbally abusing and threatening students.
The police currently estimate that there are 14 victimized students, and while securing their testimonies, summoned eight individuals including the pastor and teachers on the 16th to proceed with the investigation.
