Kimchi Master Godamchae Donates 500 Boxes of Kimchi to Sinan-gun

[Sinan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] On the 18th, Jeonnam Sinan-gun (Governor Park Woo-ryang) announced that on the 17th, (Ltd.) Hyundai Distribution Kimchi Master Godamchae (Chairman Gong Kyung-su) donated 500 boxes of 5kg kimchi (worth 25 million won).

(Ltd.) Hyundai Distribution Kimchi Master Godamchae is a company that manufactures kimchi in Dongseo-ri, Aphae-eup, Sinan-gun, and in the Daeyang Industrial Complex in Mokpo, and is a company that regularly practices sharing part of its profits with the local community.

At the donation ceremony, Chairman Gong Kyung-su of Kimchi Master Godamchae, who is from Jangsan-myeon, Sinan-gun, said, "The 1004 Islands Sinan-gun is always my beloved hometown," and added, "I wanted to help the underprivileged who are going through difficulties, and after hearing that the kimchi at social welfare facilities was running out recently, I decided to donate with the hope of contributing even a little during the COVID-19 period."

Park Woo-ryang, Governor of Sinan-gun, said, "Despite the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic causing the local economy to shrink, I sincerely thank you for paying attention to the difficulties of local residents and supporting essential supplies."

The 500 boxes of kimchi donated that day were delivered to 26 social welfare facilities and nursing hospitals in the area, which were experiencing difficulties due to the depletion of kimchi, through the Sinan-gun Welfare Foundation, according to the donor's wishes.
