[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] The Japanese best album of the group BTS, 'BTS, THE BEST,' has ranked first on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking for two consecutive days.
According to Big Hit Music on the 18th, BTS's 'BTS, THE BEST' topped the 'Daily Album Ranking' announced by Oricon the previous day with sales of 92,029 copies. BTS, which had directly taken first place on the daily album ranking on the first day of sales (based on the arrival date at the sales outlet), proved its hot popularity by maintaining the top spot for the second day.
Oricon announced on the 16th that the first-day sales of 'BTS, THE BEST,' which amounted to 572,000 copies, surpassed the highest sales of the first week this year (467,000 copies) based on the 'Weekly Album Ranking.' BTS set a new record with first-day sales alone, making new history on Oricon.
In addition, BTS not only topped the charts with 'BTS, THE BEST' but also held the number one spot for four consecutive weeks on Oricon's latest chart (June 21 issue) 'Weekly Streaming Ranking' with the digital single 'Butter,' released last month on the 21st.
'BTS, THE BEST' is an album that compiles songs BTS released in Japan over four years since 2017. It includes a total of 23 tracks such as 'Film out,' which was pre-released in April and swept the top spots on Oricon's 'Daily Single Ranking' and 'Weekly Streaming Ranking,' as well as Japanese versions of 'Dynamite,' 'Blood Sweat & Tears,' 'FAKE LOVE,' 'IDOL,' 'MIC Drop,' and 'ON,' along with original Japanese songs 'Your eyes tell' and 'Crystal Snow.'
