[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's side expressed displeasure, saying "Thank you for your concern," in response to People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok's criticism that he "seems like an amateur."

Lee Dong-hoon, spokesperson for former Prosecutor General Yoon, said in an interview with JTBC's 'Political Meeting' on the 17th, "Former Prosecutor General Yoon will follow his own pace and the direction pointed out by the people."

Earlier, on the 16th, Lee Jun-seok said in an interview with a media outlet that former Prosecutor General Yoon "shows amateurish signs and is still unprepared," adding, "He should have already joined the party, but even now it is a bit late. Once he joins, he can receive organized help from experts."

In response, spokesperson Lee said, "As a spokesperson and aide, I will only say this to Representative Lee Jun-seok: 'Thank you for your concern,'" and indirectly criticized by saying, "Admiral Chungmugong said in the life-or-death battle to protect the country, 'Do not act rashly. Do not move lightly, but act cautiously like a mountain.'"

Spokesperson Lee continued, "Former Prosecutor General Yoon will declare his political participation at the end of June or early July. Preparations are progressing steadily," adding, "The content will be about why I am entering politics and what kind of Republic of Korea I will build."

He also said, "Former Prosecutor General Yoon says, 'We must achieve an overwhelming regime change.' This concept of regime change includes centrists and reasonable progressives," and added, "We see this as our national task and historical mission."

He said, "Because of this, various remarks are expected," and added, "The ruling party naturally talks about baseless X-files to attack former Prosecutor General Yoon. Even within the People Power Party, there are comments like 'He is an amateur' and 'His party entry is late,' but former Prosecutor General Yoon does not respond to these one by one."

Earlier, Song Young-gil, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said in a media interview on the same day, "Yoon Seok-yeol's X-file will be revealed during the opposition party's primary process, similar to Lee Myung-bak's BBK issue," and added, "Former Prosecutor General Yoon will not be able to join the People Power Party easily."

In response, spokesperson Lee pointed out, "Stop inciting and present the evidence first," "The ruling party has survived so far through negativity; if there is anything, disclose it. I think it's time to break such a habit."
