[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The “Visiting Nutrition Management Project” promoted by Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, is receiving favorable reviews.

According to the city on the 17th, the Visiting Nutrition Management Project involves dedicated social workers and nutritionists visiting homes to investigate the health status and dietary habits of the subjects, correct any issues, and educate them on diets and food preparation methods tailored to their respective illnesses.

The program is conducted twice a month per household for three months, and once a month, protein food packages, vitamins, and mineral supplements are provided to improve nutritional deficiencies and help maintain health.

The city has entrusted the project to the Gyeongnam Social Service Center Gimhae City Comprehensive Home Care Center and is currently providing services to over 50 integrated care elderly individuals.

Park Seon-ok, head of the Regional Integrated Care Team, stated, “Many elderly households live on high-salt, nutritionally unbalanced diets more than expected, but through education on balanced nutritional meals, we aim to help them manage proper dietary habits independently in the long term.”
