[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Im Jongbok) announced on the 17th that following the event at Unnam Elementary School on the 16th, it held the Korea 119 Youth Corps inauguration ceremony for 16 instructors and members of the Miso Community Child Center.
Conducted in compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, this event included ▲ the 119 Youth Corps organization induction oath and inauguration ceremony ▲ education to cultivate correct awareness and habits regarding safety for youth members ▲ fire safety training such as fire extinguisher operation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
The Miso Community Child Center, located in Sochon-dong, becomes the only Korea 119 Youth Corps among the local community child centers in the district.
Going forward, it will participate in various fire safety culture events as a leading force in fostering proper understanding of fire safety and youth safety.
Choi Byungbok, Head of the 119 Disaster Response Division, said, “At Gwangsan Fire Station, we will mobilize all capabilities to provide various fire safety experience opportunities to cultivate safety awareness among Korea 119 Youth Corps members while adhering to prevention guidelines.”
