[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Joo-hee] Bae Hoon-cheon, the owner of a cafe in Gwangju who strongly criticized the Moon Jae-in administration's income-led growth policy, revealed that he suffered from a phone bombarding by the hardline supporters of the ruling party due to the so-called 'coordinate marking' by former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk.

On the 16th, Bae said on his Facebook, "Cho Kuk, because of your tweet implying that the identity of the Gwangju cafe owner is the Taegeukgi Brigade or Ilbe, I had to change the store phone to an answering machine."

He continued, "To relieve your voyeurism that looks at the finger instead of the moon, I have revealed all my fingers (personal information) in reply to your tweet, so please check it and stop that bizarre curiosity."

Earlier, former Minister Cho shared on his Twitter the content of the MBC radio program 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' aired on the 15th, titled 'The real identity of the Gwangju cafe owner who allegedly criticized Moon Jae-in by name, which the media hid?'

The broadcast introduced that the host of the Manmin Debate, where Bae gave a critical speech against the government, is the 'Honam Alternative Forum,' which advocates the abolition of the 'May 18th Special Act to Prevent Historical Distortion,' and is a politically charged group.

It also mentioned that Bae had served as a co-representative of the Honam Alternative Forum, indicating that he was a figure who had participated in political organizations or events. Meanwhile, it pointed out that the media did not clearly reveal Bae's background or the host of the debate but simply introduced him as a self-employed person.

In response, Bae attached a link on Facebook titled 'My real identity.' This link contains an interview with Bae conducted in 2012 by an organization called 'Nanum Culture.'

In the interview, Bae said, "I am from the class of '86. I lived intensely but did not concretely consider the path to creating a just society while making a living. After graduation, I ran an academy, but I was uncomfortable with the fact that I was sustaining that world while opposing the entrance exam competition. I thought, 'Let's live as we think, and if possible, do something with my body,' so I started a cafe," revealing the reason he started self-employment.

Meanwhile, Bae attracted attention by criticizing the government by name at the Manmin Debate titled 'Moon Jae-in Administration's Economic Policy and the Reality of Honam,' held on the 12th at the Gwangju April 19 Revolution Memorial Hall's Unification Hall.

Bae emphasized, "The Moon Jae-in administration's economic policy is simply problematic! Ignorant! Incompetent! Reckless!" He said, "They raised the minimum wage drastically to protect low-wage workers, wiping out even the low-wage jobs that existed. Like a wolf in sheep's clothing, they packaged policies that only look flashy on the outside, took power, and actually drove small business owners and ordinary people into misery. We must judge the Moon Jae-in administration."

He added, "Gwangju is small and rumors spread fast, so it was not easy for a local business person to reveal their business name and name and come forward in such a place. However, I took courage because I thought it would be beneficial for the future of the Republic of Korea, where our children will live, to hear from a local in Gwangju about the policies of the Moon Jae-in government that made us live in darkness under the dim moonlight."
